Gripple’s Technical Services Department is comprised of a dedicated and detail-oriented team of specialists who offer their technical services free of charge to contractors to assist in the bidding process. Simply put, Gripple’s Technical Services Department reviews the contractor’s drawings and provides the contractor with the recommended Gripple Cable Hanger or Seismic Bracing products and quantities for their project.
In addition to complimentary budget estimating for Seismic Cable Bracing, Vibration Management products, and Engineering Services, Gripple also offers free MTOs (Material Take Offs) for Gripple Cable Hanger products being used to suspend HVAC, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical services.

Gripple’s innovative “twist and click” Rod Stiffener system is used to prevent threaded rod from buckling vertically during seismic activity or blast events. Resilient and versatile in its design, the Rod Stiffener can be used with threaded rod sizes 3/8” and 1/2”. In comparison to the traditional method of using metal strut and clips, it is 80% lighter, quicker to install, and requires no tools for installation. Available now through Gripple, the Rod Stiffener system is suitable for use with Gripple Seismic GS10 Cable Braces on drops up to 5 feet, and GS12 Cable Braces on drops up to 2 ft.
Gripple® Seismic has received approval from the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) for Fixed Equipment Anchorage for its GS10, GS12, and GS19 Cable Bracing Systems, and has been assigned OPA-2123-10.

Gripple® Seismic received UL NEBS GR 63 Core Certifcation today, certifying that their GS10, GS12, GS19, and GS25 Seismic Cable Bracing Systems were tested in accordance the GR-63 CORE Issue 3, March 2006.
Today Gripple received verification from the SMACNA Testing & Research Institute (STRI) that Gripple® Seismic Cable Hangers, as submitted and tested, were deemed to be acceptable alternatives for seismic hanger bracing in strict accordance with the ANSI/SMACNA Seismic Restraint Manual-Guidelines for Mechanical Systems.
